Dreams Come True At All the Great Things to Do In California
Among all of the United States, California stands out as one which features the most versatile travel destinations and wonderful attractions. When you visit California you can go from palm trees and beaches to mountainous regions and wonderful forests. Not to mention, being along the coast of the Pacific Ocean, it’s full of a ridiculous number of wonderful views and vistas. It can arguably be difficult for people to choose between all the wonderful things that you can do in California. This article is going to look at a few of them. Think of it as an appetizer to the incredible things you can do and hopefully it will whet your appetite for a trip to California in the near future.
1 - The Golden Gate Bridge and Fisherman’s Wharf
Okay, this one seems pretty obvious, but if you’re visiting San Francisco, a long walk across the Golden Gate bridge can be a breathtaking experience. If you don’t feel like walking, it can be good to take transit over to the other side of the bridge for some incredible photo ops. Once you’re done, it’s time to head back to the famous Fisherman’s wharf for lunch or dinner. Some of the best seafood you’ve ever had in your life is waiting for you there. Fisherman’s wharf manages to bring all the historic charm of this area to life while still providing modern cuisine that is simply incredible.
2 - Legoland California
Okay, so yes, there are a lot of amusement parks which could make the list of California attractions. Disney is located in the state. But there’s a special feel and excitement when you go to Legoland California. This amusement park is located in Carlsbad, and while it features rides and safari trips, there’s lots more for kids to do. There are pools and water attractions. They can drive mini cars or play with lego robots. There’s even an aquarium! Combined with the fun lego theme (and the ability to just go have fun playing with lego and building stuff) there’s a lot of reasons to check out this amusement park, even if you don’t have children.
3 - Sequoia National Park
For nature lovers, this has to be one national park that is on everyone’s bucket list. The insanely huge sequoia trees are one of nature’s greatest marvels and are over 2500 years old. Yes. That number is correct. Sadly, the sequoia is a very rare form of redwood and not exactly to be found in a lot of places. You need to hit this specific national park. In addition to the trees you can do all kinds of fun activities like rock climbing or cave exploration. The winter even offers some snowshoeing and skiing if that’s more your thing. Since the park is open year round, you can enjoy whatever weather you prefer.
4 - Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe is another wonderful piece of nature that people can enjoy in California. The crystal clear waters are an absolute dream to gaze out over. In the summer you can enjoy some wonderful camping, swimming and hiking. You can go even farther and choose to kayak around or go scuba diving in the wonderful water. During the winter, Lake Tahoe turns into a destination for ski lovers due to their many resorts and wonderful ski slopes.
5 - The Hollywood Sign
If you’re going to go to California, why not see the most iconic image from Hollywood. You can get close to the sign by hiking through the interesting Hollywood hills or you can hit up the observation tour that is located to allow for easy selfies with the sign. While you’re in Los Angeles you can enjoy all of your celebrity themed fun, from movie studios to celebrity chef restaurants.
