There's More Styles of Wallet Than Many People Realize
There are more styles of wallets than many people realize. Wallets come in handy for holding your money and your important cards and documents in one place. There are different wallets for different purposes. There are wallets made specifically for documents, wallets for cash, wallets for cards, and wallets that hold them all. There are different styles of wallets for different occasions. Some wallets are designed with activities such as travel in mind. Some are more practical for business trips. Some wallets are designed to be seen, while others are not. There are hidden wallets such as belt wallets and leg wallets. There are bi-folds, tri-folds, and money clips. Wallets that hold coins can also be practical. There are also exterior wallets. These wallets can hang around your neck, be worn on your shoe, or can even be worn on your wrist. The following article will discuss some of the many different types of wallets and their usefulness.
1 - Belt Wallets
Belt wallets are belts that also double as a wallet. They have a hidden compartment on the inside of the belt that is specially designed to hold documents and paper currency. Because of the hidden compartment, you can safely tuck away your paper items without anyone knowing you have them. Simply place the papers in a slot on the inside of the belt and zip it closed. This is a good idea when traveling, especially in foreign places.
2 - Leg Wallet
A leg wallet is another type of hidden wallet. Designed to fit around your calf or leg, the wallet is worn under your pants and serves as a hidden compartment for money, cards, passports and whatever other documents you may need to carry. It features the safety of a belt wallet because it is hidden and the functionality of a regular wallet because it carries more items. It has pockets featuring zippers and is also great for traveling because it conceals the fact that you may have currency and other important items.
3 - Bifolds
A bifold is a wallet that folds in half. This type of wallet is common and it has compartments for money, credit cards, identification cards, and more. It is the perfect wallet for everyday purposes. It may contain integrated coin purses. It is small and compact and fits inside the back pocket, front pocket, or shirt pocket. Sometimes it is referred to as a slim wallet.
4 - Trifold
A trifold wallet folds into three sections. It is similar to the bifold wallet. It, too, is very common. It contains compartments for money, credit cards, ids, and business cards. It may even contain a plastic insert for pictures of loved ones. It too can be folded to fit inside the front, back, or shirt pockets although they may be slightly bigger than the bifold.
5 - Money Clips
Money clips are a bit different than conventional wallets. While bifolds and trifolds feature a separate compartment for cash, the money clip wallet has the features of a bifold but has a money clip on the inside that is good for holding your cash. It still has compartments for cards and identification. Some even have a pull-up tab for your most used card. Simply pull the tab and the card slides up effortlessly.
6 - Exterior Wallets
Exterior wallets are different from other conventional wallets. They are especially practical when you wear clothing without pockets as they can be worn around the neck, on your shoe, or even on your wrist. They can have pockets as a bifold or trifold does but are designed to be worn on the exterior. The downfall to this is they can be seen by everyone.
